Singer-songwriter John Mayer has recently been spotted out with actress Kiernan Shipka, sparking speculation that the two may be dating. Mayer, 45, and Shipka, 23, were first seen leaving the San Vicente Bungalows in West Hollywood together late one night in February 2022. At the time, not much was thought about the pairing as Mayer has been known to have many friends in Hollywood.
However, the rumors picked up again when the two were photographed leaving the celebrity hotspot Catch LA after having dinner together in November 2022. An eyewitness said “They came in together and sat really close at their table, chatting very intimately the whole time. At one point Kiernan reached across and stroked John’s face and he took her hand and kissed it.”
While Mayer and Shipka have not publicly confirmed a romantic relationship, their body language and intimate dinner date suggest they may be more than friends. This significant 22-year age gap has also raised some eyebrows, as Shipka is only 23 years old compared to Mayer’s 45 years.
Mayer does have a reputation as a serial dater and for dating very famous starlets. His former girlfriends include Jessica Simpson, Jennifer Aniston, Katy Perry, and Taylor Swift. He has not been linked seriously with anyone since his 2017 split from singer-songwriter Katie Perry.
Shipka, best known for her role as Sabrina Spellman on Netflix’s Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, was last rumored to be dating Christian Coppola, the son of director Sofia Coppola, in 2019. The rumors with Mayer are the first indications that Shipka has moved on to an older, more seasoned celebrity beau.
