Country music icon Billy Ray Cyrus is a married man once again! On October 10, 2023, Cyrus tied the knot with his girlfriend of two years – Australian singer/songwriter Firerose. The intimate wedding ceremony took place at Cyrus’s Nashville home.
Cyrus and Firerose first met on the set of Hannah Montana in 2010 when Firerose had a small guest role on the hit Disney series. They reconnected in 2021 while working on music together in Los Angeles and sparks quickly flew between the two musicians. By early 2022, they had gone public with their budding romance.
“From the moment we reconnected, there was an immediate sacred familiarity, as if we had always known each other,” Cyrus told People Magazine. “Together we share something very rare and beautiful – true, great love.”
For their special day, Firerose wore an elegant off-white lace gown with sheer sleeves and a long train. Cyrus complemented her perfectly in a black suit with intricate white embroidery. The ceremony space was adorned with flowers and greenery for a magical, charming ambiance.
Close friends and family of the couple were in attendance, including Cyrus’s famous children – Miley, Noah, Brandi and Trace. There were tears of joy all around as Cyrus and Firerose exchanged heartfelt vows pledging their lives to each other.
“This time it’s forever! I love you Firerose,” Cyrus proclaimed on social media shortly after saying “I do.” He also gushed that 10/10/23 was one of the happiest days of his life.
Firerose shared similar sentiments on her Instagram page, writing “Billy, I never knew love before you. My Hubbee, My Angelxx.”
Later at the reception, Miley Cyrus surprised guests with an impromptu performance of her breakout hit “The Climb” which she dedicated to her father and his new wife. Noah Cyrus also sang a song in their honor.
As the newlyweds prepare to embark on their new journey together, they are clearly over the moon and so grateful to have found one another. Here’s wishing Billy Ray Cyrus and Firerose a lifetime of love, laughter and happiness as husband and wife!
